AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a surprising collaboration that defies usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized release, "A mysterious meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of banned rituals and monstrous metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.

The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana alongside several objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
